Send FlowersCarroll, Effie A. age 81 of Bloomington. Loving wife, mother, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, cousin, neighbor and friend to many; left this earth on March 28, 2007. She will be deeply missed by her husband of almost 57 years, Jim; her son David; and daughter Anita; her many nieces, nephews, great and great, great; neighbors, church friends, kitchen angels, garden club friends and many others. Effie was a resident of Bloomington for more than 52 years. She was a life member with the Bloomington Affiliated Garden Club and Federated Garden Clubs of MN. Effie really loved her garden and her flowers. Always growing more vegetables than needed so she could give them to friends and neighbors. Effie helped with the Japanese Garden at Normandale Community College. She was a beautiful singer and was involved with different women's choirs and sang at church on special occasions. Services Friday 11:00 AM at Historic Ft. Snelling Chapel, Highways 5 and 55 at the Historic Ft. Snelling exit. Visitation Thursday 5-8 PM at Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S. Interment Monday, April 9th, 11:45 AM at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery assembly area #6. I have fond memories of my Aunt Effie going back as far as I can remember. I have always enjoyed being in her company. She was a caring, witty, and interesting person. She will be greatly missed.
