Efrain Benavides Galindo, 77 of Midland went to be with his Heavenly Father on November 21, 2022.
Efrain was born in Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua Mexico to the late Petronilo Galindo and Victoria Benavides. He resided in Mexico where he was educated and worked the family agricultural/ranch land before venturing off to the United States settling in Midland TX and working in pipeline construction, agriculture, and landscaping until his retirement in 2007. Efrain was loved by many and although he will be deeply missed, he will continue to live through the many beautiful memories he left behind. He could be described in just a few words as fierce, hard-working, courageous, and quick tempered but also one of the most giving and soft-hearted people you would ever come across. He was a man of great faith and lived life to the fullest. He never gave up regardless of the obstacle or situations he was faced with, he faced them all with great courage and strength. He was a boxing fanatic and loved music.
He is survived by two daughters, Marisol Galindo of Houston, and Victoria Rodriguez of Midland Texas; two sons, Petronilo (Pat) Galindo and Efrain (Pelon) Galindo Jr of Midland Tx; brother Armando Galindo of Irving, Tx; sister Martha Garcia of Irving, Tx and Rosa Carrasco of Midland, Tx; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-children, nieces and nephews.
Efrain is preceded in death by his parents Petronilo and Victoria, son Manuel (Pino) Galindo, sister Eduviges Navarrete, brother Ruben Galindo and nephew Efren Guevara.
Viewing will be at Lewellen-Garcia funeral home on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 1pm to 9pm and Monday, November 28, 2022 from 9am- to 9pm (Rosary at 7p.m).
Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Petronilo Galindo, Armando Galindo, John Galindo, Matthew Galindo, Miguel Carrasco, Ricardo Martinez, Hector Garcia, and Eusebio Urias. Honorary pallbearer: Iris Salazar
