Professor Brenner was the first Electrical Engineering teacher I had when I began my studies for a BEE degree at CCNY back in 1958. I was immediately impressed with his teaching ability, and signed up for his classes whenever I could. I have often commented to people that of all the teachers I've ever had, from kindergarten through PhD, the one whom I admired the most and considered to be the best was Egon Brenner. I knew Egon from the time I began study at CCNY for the BEE degree, through the MEE and PhD degree. All those years I learned much from him and was exposed to his wit. I had the privilege to visit him in Florida towards the end of his years while on a trip from Jerusalem. He is still missed.

As an undergraduate student at CCNY over fifty years ago I will never forget Professor Brenner's great lectures that introduced us to Electrical Engineering.
He was a great teacher. My condolences.

Dear Rhoda and family,
I was searching the Internet to see if you had moved, when the notice of Egon's Z"L passing came up. I was amazed that after more than 30 years Egon remembered me so well, as an undergraduate student and as a PhD student, which I (finally) achieved in 1972. We now have 2 small boys and travel is not a trivial matter from so...

Dear Rhoda
I just got the latest issue of CCNY Alumnus and was sorry to hear of your loss. We shared an office, and then adjoining offices, once we moved into administrative positions. Elaine and I remember him well. We dearly remember his attempt at being a actor in "HMS Pinafore??"
