Mary Lou was my first cousin and she and I loved each other very much. For most of our lives we didn't know each other existed; then, when we found each other we could talk on the telephone for hours. We were just like sisters. It was my privilege to know Mary Lou since 1987 when I married her son, Ken. She was a vibrant, intelligent, interesting woman with style and panache. She was a loving, supportive and understanding mother-in-law. Though we lived far apart, we enjoyed our few visits together and many letters and telephone calls. We enjoyed learning about family history together. She will be missed so much, but I take comfort in knowing she is at peace after a long and debilitating illness. I’m so sorry...
