Eileen Cogan


Age 83, of Minerva, died Sat., March 27, 2021 in the Arbors of Minerva. She was born Dec. 26, 1937 in Malvern to Bryan and Nellie (Harsh) Lewis. She was a housewife and a member of the Minerva United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.  She was a former volunteer for Minerva Community Meals.  She loved flowers, cooking and baking pies and going to the Hartville Flea Market.


She is survived by her husband, Dale Cogan whom she married June 17, 1957, 2 sons, Richard Cogan of Minerva, Jim (Alicia) Cogan of Minerva, granddaughter, Jennifer (Aaron) Cogan-Collins, a great granddaughter, Annabel Collins. She is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hursh and 2 brothers, Wayne and Ray Lewis.


Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the Minerva United Methodist Church with Pastor Jonathon Williams officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Minerva United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
