Eileen Cooney

I did not know Eileen personally but, like many members of the Saint Lawrence O'Toole community in Hartford, I knew of the family. I counted her son Vincent as a boyhood friend of mine. He was always in the thick of the foolish antics he and his friends played in our summers spent at the Goodwin Park pool. Such a small world too. My wife and I were married at Saint Patrick in Mystic in 1980 and Enders Island is a special place to us. My condolences to the Cooney family.

Mrs. Cooney was a treasure for me. I was so fortunate to have her and her entire family in my life. Excellent guidance, joy and a zest for life are the values she imparted to me. She is loved and will be missed.

I'm so sorry to learn of Mrs. Cooney's passing. I adored her energy, strength, sense of humor and loving kindnesses. May her family be comforted by their memories of her now. My prayers, and deepest sympathies, to Hank, Christine and the Cooney family.
