Don and I are so happy that we were friends of Eileen's for the past 8 years, she was a true friend. We had many good times with Eileen and Lou. Eileen will alway be in our mind and hearts.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Louis and Staib family. I will always remember what a dear, wonderful friend "aunt eileen" was. I almost made it up to see her in june to surprise her. She sure touched a lot of hearts upstate also. Our prayers are with you all.

community minded person. She will be a Great Loss to all of the community. Deepest sympathies.

If there is one word I can use to describe Mrs. D, it is generous. She took me in for a few months when I was a kid and lost everything in a house fire. Since the 80's, I've kept in touch with her through phone calls and mail.

The last time I was over at the house, a couple of winters ago, she made me coffee and a piece of pie. Although I just got done eating in Stamford, I knew that saying no to her was a futile effort. She was always genuinely interested in how I was doing....
