Eileen J. Hanafin

My mother, Mary Hanafin Chevarley, treasured all of her Hanafin cousins, but Eileen and Gerry were among her favorites. They were very thoughtful; visiting and keeping in touch with her, especially after my father died. Eileen in particular was a great comfort to me after my mother's death in 2000. I will remember her fondly and keep her in my parayers.

My husband and three sons and I lived next door to Eileen. She would always bring cookies from Susu's on Valentine's Day which was her brother Gerry's birthday and my son Nicholas' birthday too. She loved her garden and helped us with ours - caring for our Rose of Sharon that blossomed under her care. One day a few years ago our boys took "Myleen" as they called her, on a tour of our house after our addition and she was such a trooper as they dragged her around the house. We will miss her.

I will always remember good times on Cape Cod with Aunt Eily, Nana, Gramps and Uncle Gerry.

To Eileen's family and friends,

Eileen lived across the street from me, and was always very friendly and kind. She loved talking about her flowers, and would often take me on a guided tour of her beautiful garden. I will think of her every spring when I tend to my own garden.

Her family and friends will be in my thoughts and prayers.
