MOTT, Eileen Bridget McCarthy, 62, of Richmond, passed away July 7, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Dovaston and her husband, Luke; sons, Colin Mott and his wife, Blair, and Dylan Mott; two grandchildren, Hadley and Scarlett Mott; sister, Patricia McCarthy; brother, Brendan McCarthy; and several nieces and nephews. Eileen is also survived by her four-legged companion, Bob the Beagle. She was a very loving, caring person, an excellent caregiver, who was called "Momma" by all who loved and cared for her. Eileen's children and grandchildren were the loves of her life. She also enjoyed books and the arts. In her three decade career at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, she organized almost 90 traveling shows for over 100 Virginia artists seen by many thousands at venues throughout the Commonwealth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery. Eileen and I were best friends senior year of high school at the Academy of the Holy Angles. Touched base one college summer in Boston, then not again, unfortunately. It sounds like she had a very rewardig life and lovely family. Condolences to you all on her early passing. Linda Funesti Benton
