I am so sorry to hear about Eileen's passing. It was always a pleasure to work with her.

Eileen O'Brien will be remembered by her outstanding role in preserving Manchester's history through her work at the Manchester Historic Association. She was a quiet person by nature who sparkled when talking about her love of history and the collections under her care. I will miss her sense of humor and her never ending willingness to help. Manchester owes a debt of gratitude to this quiet crusader for her dedicated efforts on behalf of the city and its history. As a native of Manchester, I myself owe her for all that she did to save the history of the city of my parents and grandparents. I will treasure the memories of her bright smile, her keen wit, and her intrepid spirit. Her legacy will live on in all that she accomplished and in the many lives that she touched. She will be dearly missed.
