Eileen M. Stenberg , 90, passed away November 26, 2012 in Fallbrook, CA. Eileen was born to Gunda (Hildahl) and Oscar Amundson on December 17, 1921 in Staples, MN. Eileen is survived by her 2 daughters, Cheryl M. Giesler of Huntington Beach and Caryn Janelle Villalon of Fallbrook, CA; her sister, Ona Mae Holmgren of Sky Valley, CA; 2 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, and 3 great granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert E. Stenberg, and sister, Glenna Callahan.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
My sympathy to you all at the loss of your dear Eileen. I knew her when we were both teaching at Parkview Elem., Fridley, MN in the 1960s. She was very helpful to me, a new staff member. I remember her as very creative with her students and especially the plays she directed. She will be missed by many. Janet (Livgard) Nelson
