Eileen was a special friend. Even though we weren’t together a lot, we still made good memories at the Power Squadron and our parties.

My condolences to Eileen’s family. Eileen was a true gem! Someone you’ll never forget. I worked with her for many years at the MDN and still smile whenever I think of her. She was a breath of fresh air each morning. You could hear her coming into the building long before you’d see her, high heels clicking and bracelets tinkling. I worked with Eileen for several years at the Milford News. She was so vibrant, cheerful, and friendly. She taught me a lot about being a reporter, and I will always appreciate how helpful she was to me. She talked about her family all the time and it was obvious how much they meant to her. Eileen walked into the Milford Daily newsroom early each morning, high heels clicking, hair swept up, carrying a massive handbag with a bright smile on her face, ready to tackle each day’s events. She loved being a reporter, covering the mundane, funny, shocking, sad and the joyful events throughout the Milford area for some 25 years. And she loved working with - and in more recent years – chatting about the eclectic and talented staff at the MDN, particularly her dear friend and colleague...

Eileen was such a Dear Friend to our Family, The Johnstons, in Franklin, MA., especially to brother Jim. We quickly became her friend, too. She visited the homestead in Franklin many times. We had many pleasant visits and conversations with her. She had a wonderful spirit! We wish to express our Deepest Sympathy to Peter and to all of Eileen's dear family. This is a heartbreaker to myself and my husband. Eileen and I became very good friends when we lived in Franklin, Mass. The friendship lasted from the moment we met for many, many years. Eileen married a very good friend of ours, therefore the friendship continued. Even tho they moved to Florida and we moved to Virginia we managed to see each other at least once a year, so we could have our usual fun together. I am so shocked and saddened by her unexpected passing and I send my deepest condolences to Peter and Jill and their families, and to the Sasinowski, Brooks and the Vigliante families.
