Not sure what to say?

Being the daughter of Mary and Chang Reynolds, I knew Eilleen it seems like forever. Visiting Mary would include a stop at the Bowen's, always. I was honored to take Mary to visit Eilleen shortly before her passing. We spent the time thumbing through the bound book that held the story and pictures of her life. She and Charles were special people in our family's life. She was such a wonderful person!

Eilleen and Chuck Bowen supported many nature- and conservation-related organizations, including the Los Osos/Morro Bay Chapter of SWAP (Small Wilderness Area Preservation). They became members in 1985, when the effort began to save the 90-acre El Moro Elfin Forest, and continued their (recently Eilleen's) membership to the present. Eilleen was a good, generous, kind and thoughtful person who greeted everyone with a smile. On behalf of the SWAP Board of Directors, I wish to say that we...

Eilleen was a guiding force for the Museum of Natural History at the Morro Bay State Park in the formation of the Natural History Association and a library centered on natural history subjects for the education of school children and the public.

I worked with her for many years and miss the interaction we shared.

Nana with her Wieland great-grandies, June 2010

Nana Bowen was a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her "great-grandies" and I will always remember, and tell our kids about, how she wallpapered her refrigerator with pictures of them. Every time we read the Curious George books she sent us, we will think of her. She had a unique way of always picking just the right book. I will also remember how she loved birds, clam chowder, See's candy, and Scrabble. She will be missed!

Dear Gordon and Linda,
Please accept my sincere condolences...I am so sorry for your loss.
Love, Jamie
