Burl was warm and welcoming to everyone. He was my friend. We would always sit together during the scout troop meetings and talk and share about stuff. Don't remember why I went to his house but I did one evening and he pulls me in and says "I wanna show you something". He leads me down to his basement and opens up a wooden chest and proceeds to pull out war momentos, rifles, gun parts, knives, etc., showing them to me one at a time; cause he knew I liked stuff like that also. Always pushing...
