I had the honor of attending Elaine´s funeral on Saturday, Sept. 18th. It was a beautiful, heartwarming service, worthy of Elaine. Among other tributes, her loving husband, Wayne, gave a stunning eulogy and Walter Hilse played his gorgeous, uplifting Amazing Grace. Of all the people I´ve known, Elaine had to be the most gentle and sweet soul. We traveled home from Florilegium rehearsals together for a while as we were neighbors.... Her talent was unquestionable and her ability to perform, whether serious classical solos or taking on any character in her cabaret performances, was always a joy. She will be missed greatly. My deepest condolences to the family, especially dear Wayne.
