Not sure what to say?

For some reason today I thought of coach Lainey. She coached tennis at BHS. She inspired me and was always so positive. I'm so much better for having her in my life at such an important time. Vk

Dear Stephen and Family,
The Vermont Classical Language Association remembers our beloved colleague and friend, Lainie, as an inspirational and influential teacher of Latin, an inspiring guide to the Classical World for her students and a leader in the Vermont Classical Language Association and the Classical Association of New England. Our sincere condolences
for your loss.

Sincerely,
Noralee Cartier
VCLA President

Dear Steve, We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Elaine's passing. Elaine was such a lovely lady; so sweet and friendly and always smiling. We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family at this time of tremendous grief and loss.
Sincerely, Ed and Alexandra Buturla

Lainey inspired us all to love learning, and not only learning Latin. Without her energy and devotion to the program at BHS, my life would have taken a different course. With deep gratitude and sincerest condolences, Julia Viazmenski

Dear Stephen: As one woman said at the beautiful service yesterday, I didn't know Elaine, I knew "Lainey,' great teacher of my children here and in Italy and one of the most sympathetic and kind persons I have every known. We met in the 60s, and although we haven't seen each other so often, I am so grateful for the fun and enormous laughter during our lunches with Jacki during the last few years.. My thoughts and sympathy are with you. Lainey's death is such a loss to our whole community.

Dear Stephen and Family,
"Lainey" was such a kind, loving and inspiring teacher to me and encouraged me in painting as much as my art teacher. She has been in my thoughts so much of the time and I am so saddened to hear the news of her passing. Going to Italy with you both was so wonderful ! love, Megan Lipke
