Not sure what to say?

Elaine and I met later in life. One of the most important things Dr. Davies taught me was the power of love. John 13:34 "A command I give you: Love one another. As I loved you, so you must love one another." Elaine touched family, friends, students and co-workers with her love. She was a giver and a light in our day. I will always have Elaine in my heart and mind.

Elaine was my first roommate at 19, when we were still just babies trying to figure out life. We had so much fun-and gave our moms (and her brother Rick) enough worry for a lifetime with our shenanigans. Then came the metal/rock-and-roll boys, and somehow we found a little more solid ground... though the shenanigans never really stopped. I remember our fun times at Otto´s way back when I turned 21. Who would have guessed then that we would both wind up getting a Master´s Degree in Communication at NIU years later. You were a great communicator at Otto´s where you always made me laugh and then you continued to make me laugh at NIU. I was always happy to see you and you will be greatly missed.

I´m going to miss you Dr Davies. You really changed my life and gave me hope for our future. I´m never going to forget you and will try my best to carry on doing the work you were so passionate about.

Your memory will always be a blessing to me, Elaine! Our days volunteering for NCA are some of my best memories always!
