Not sure what to say?

Anyone who encountered Elaine Eccleston would not forget her.
For me, it was 1975 and she was my lecturer in BA Secretarial Studies at Canberra CAE.
She was precise and polished yet warmly approachable. Such was her manner, I followed her every instruction.
Elaine radiated professionalism, and was the model on which I wished to base my future career and life generally. Her bon mots resonate still to this very day. Thank you Elaine.
My deepest condolences to Tony, Mary and...

I was lucky enough to have Elaine as my lecturer in Secretarial Studies at the Canberra CAE. I aspired to be like her in my career: professional, gracious and personal. She was admired by all students. Elaine was the bedrock of the degree and a well known and admired figure around the campus. Condolences to Elaine's family.

All my love and support to you Tony.

Elaine mentioned to me when I walked into the office we were to share, she thought to herself "Ah, it's you". There is such a resonance between the two of us, we've known each other for such a long time, beyond this life. All my love to you dearest Elaine.

Elain was a beautiful loving person.
My thoughts, prayers and most heartfelt condolences to Tony and Elaine's family at this sad time.

Sincerely,
Janet Eccleston

Elaine has a special place in my heart.
My earliest memories of her are from my late teens.
After leaving high school in 1982, I took my first trip overseas to visit her and Uncle Tony in Jakarta.
I was a little shy and awkward, but I remember Elaine was very approachable. I immediately felt at ease around her and liked her enormously.
She just had a knack for making you feel special.
I spent three weeks living the expat life mostly by Elaine's side. Every day staff driver...

Elaine was an inspirational icon of the Secretarial Studies degree she was instrumental in setting up at the University of Canberra.
Elaine had poise, grace, incredible elegance and a fierce intellect. All of her students admired her to the point of reverence. She had the highest of standards, which we all both loathed and admired!
We still talk of her with great fondness and respect, and are so sorry that she had to endure, and eventually succumb to this hideous disease.

Tony, so sorry to hear of Elaine's passing. A wonderful and special lady who was so dearly loved by all and so dear to you.

With sincere condolences,
Mike

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a wonderful woman. Our thoughts and prayers go to Tony. I know how much Elaine steadied Tony's ship and how much he cares for her. I am so glad we caught up with both of you at Christmas after such a long time. A brave fight to such a debilitating disease. You were truly an inspiration. Love Peter and Erica

Such sorrow at the passing of Elaine. Have such warm memories of a strong and caring person who had poise and grace. All our love and support to Uncle Tony, now and in the future. Sarah, Casper and Annika.
