It is truly the end of an era with Elaine's passing. Out of all of our high school friends' parents Elaine and Charles were by far the coolest. When you visited their home, you never knew who might be there...all simply just enjoying their hospitality and laid back vibe. Always, outspoken (for the right reason) and deeply interested in those around her, Elaine will be truly missed. But her independent, fierce spirit will never be forgotten, as it survives through her children.

In Loving Memory of Elaine Finsilver Elaine was the sweetest, kindest, and most gentle friend one could imagine. Her love of dance, of Donald McKayle, and of all dancers she encountered was truly astounding. Her rich history in dance gave us insight into many cherished memories-some we had long forgotten until she brought them back to life with her stories. Elaine´s heart was always turned outward. Very sad to hear that Elaine Finsilver has died. She was a wonderful person, full of life, creativity, energy and humor. We will miss her. Unfortunately, our planned trip to the USA from Europe was postponed, so we could not see her recently. Our deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
