Georgetown: Elaine Dusenbury Hawley, 91, died peacefully Monday, January 28, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Donna Griffith, of Irmo. Mrs. Hawley was born in Conway on October 5, 1921, a daughter of the late Edith Dusenbury Woodbury and Donald Dusenbury and wife of the late Bert Hawley. She attended Lander College where she was Miss Lander College. She was also Miss Georgetown. Her most precious title was that of a loving, caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was truly a southern lady and never spoke badly of anyone or anything. The Hawleys were owners of Woodbury Floral Shop for 49 years. They were also charter members of Herbert Memorial United Methodist Church. Surviving are daughters: Sybil Bell of Georgetown, Donna Griffith of Irmo, Susan and Hal Moore of Pawleys Island, and Karen and Dough Helms of Irmo. Also grandchildren: Janet Cooper, Tracy Bishop, Sibby Bell, Meredith Helms, Brian Herrington, Joel Slotnick, Ryan Slotnick, and Kyle Mancuso. She also has 15 great-grand children. She is survived by sister, Edith Williams, brother, Billy Woodbury and sister in-law, Geneva. She was predeceased by brother, Harry Woodbury. She also had many nephews and nieces and beloved cousin Don Dusenbury. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 30, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Herbert Memorial United Methodist Church. The service will be conducted by Rev.
