Dear Ognibene Family, I just read about Elaine's passing in the Siena News. She was one of the most humble and kind teachers I had the pleasure of knowing. I was petrified of public speaking, and she really helped me deal with that. Now, as an adult, I have had to address hundreds of people at our our clinic's fundraisers, and I still, to this day, think of Dr. Elaine Ognibene's public speaking class before I address the room. Dear Ognibene Family, When one looks in the dictionary under the word "Kind," a picture if Elaine is sure to pop up! One of the very best professors I had at Siena and one of the most memorable classes - Oral Communications. So very sorry to hear about the loss of this great woman who had such a positive impact on my education as well as so many others.

Dr. Ognibene served as my advisor at Siena College, and it was her confidence along the way that helped me succeed. Her oral communications class was one of my favorite courses, and she always pushed all of her students to do their very best. I feel blessed to have had her wisdom and influence. May fond memories bring you comfort.
