Elbert “Junior” Thomas Burley, Jr., 69, formerly of Greenville, Texas passed away in Bonham, Texas on Thursday, July 3, 2025.

Loved ones left to cherish his precious memory:  loving wife, Judy L. Heath Burley; a daughter, Renee Franklin (Jessie); two sons, Horace Jones III (Teaundra) and Christopher O. Jones (Shomonda); a sister, Vickie Huey (Billy); a brother, Eric T. Burley; three aunts, Shirley Monday, Carolyn Horton (Frank) and Ruth Bessard (Joe); a special aunt, Janet Reeves; a special uncle, George Fields; twenty-five grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lena Burley Brown and Elbert Thomas Burley, Sr.; grandparents, Julius and Lula Holmes and Walter and Lucinda Burley; three sisters, Sharon Denmark, Becky Tolson and Camellia Brown; a son, Kevin Heath, Sr and a granddaughter, Neaveh Rogers.

I Believe

When I’m alone and Sad

My heart aches very bad

When things don’t go my way

I don’t have very much to say

When I lose a loved one or friend

It feels like the world is coming to an end.

However there is a solution for this and more

ThroughChrist our lord we have an open door

With prayer, faith, devotion and  Loyalty

We serve a King that reigns supreme Royalty

The storms and trouble times will come for sure

God will give us the strength we need to endure

Why do I believe in God?  The answer is quite clear

I believe in Him because He is the reason that I am here

So Keep on Rejoicing, Keep on Praying, Keep on Saying

I Believe!  I Believe!  I Believe! In the Lord God Almighty!

What must I fear
