Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the Cheek Family. I just heard about Elbe's passing and want you to know how many lives he touched in a positive manner. Elbe and I both played French horn in the Tates Creek band and endured the times that bond people that strive together in teamwork towards a goal. We both graduated in Engineering at UK, he in electrical and I in Civil but I lost touch with him after that. I can tell from the messages here that he is loved and greatly missed.

Alison,
I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Osric, as I knew him, was a wonderfully gentle man. I am blessed to have known him. I hope that many people will help you keep alive the memories of the person he was for the children and to ease you through this painful time.
You are in my thoughts.
Hodierna

Allison,
We were so saddened to hear of Elbe's sudden passing. We have many fond memories of our times together at so many SCA events when we were living in Louisville. He leaves a legacy of selfless service for us all to emulate.

Know that you are all in our prayers. May his Soul, and the Souls of all the departed, rest in peace.

Dear Cheek Family,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Elbe. I went to Tates Creek with him and was in 10th grade biology class with him. He sat behind me during that long afternoon class. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless you.

Alan and I are thinking often of you Alison, your children, and your mother, and the rest of your family. Our prayers are with you at this time. love Pat and Alan

Seen with my own eyes, a great man has fallen.

Attending the visitation with Cordellia and Camilla, Osric's body lay low in the casket, his warm smile taken away from his face. His body now an empty shell, his soul free to delight our hearts and our memories.

When you attend a service for a fallen society brother, you get a true glimpse at the man he was as a whole. When friends from work, members of the church, old friends from high school, relatives and loved ones from so...

Naomi,
I am very sorry about your dad. I will be thinking about you.

Alison,

I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and the kids.

(( Hugs ))

I knew Elbe both in Scouts and in school. It has been many years since I have seen him.
Your family will be in our prayers.
