Elbert passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019. Elbert was a resident of Wytheville, Virginia at the time of passing. He was a lifetime member of Mountain View United Methodist Church and a United States Army Veteran of WWII. Funeral service will be held 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Reverend Ted Anders, Reverend Aubrey Whitlow, and Reverend Roger Crigger. Family will receive friends, Tuesday, from 5:00 pm until service time. Interment will be on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, 11:00 am at Mountain View Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Smith Hollow Mountain View Cemetery fund C/O Grace Davis, 1534 Rockdale Road, Wytheville, VA 24382.
So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Collins. He was a wonderful man who I had the honor of meeting while I worked for home health several years ago. May God be with and comfort each of you during this time.
