Not sure what to say?

I will never forget your Elbert as you will never. Elbert was very much a caring gentleman to say nothing of his wonderful singing voice. I can still hear Elbert singing "How Great Thou Art" for my son's service May 1987. If I were still in the Tacoma area, I would have joined you yesterday, but I live in Hawaii. The Alliance church was so very good to me and my family. Much love and aloha to you all. Ramona Wingate.

I remember Elbert so well and was always touched not only by his musical abilities, but by his gracious inpact on my life as a young person. Much love to his family - Marji (Tucker) Krahn

I can just see Elbert in heaven leading that heavenly choir! My favorite song he sang was The Light House. You will be missed my friend! My love and prayers to his family. Diane Hodges

Our sympathy to the Durkee family. So thankful for the chance to be involved with Elbert and his love of music these past years at Tacoma Alliance. One of my favorite being His Eye Is On the Sparrow. Only Ethel Waters could come close to Elbert on that one! Paul and DeLynn Asberg
