Not sure what to say?

Dr. Smith was the pediatrician for all three of my children and my sisters two children. . We all just loved Dr. Smith. He gave great care along with practical advice to parents. An amazing man!

I am so very late in sending condolences. Dr Smith was my Pediatrician. I was one of his first patients as the story goes. He treated myself and my siblings our entire childhoods. I learned from him what a great doctor should be, and how they should treat patients. That knowledge has served me well over the years, he set the bar high. I live with great health because of his kind and caring treatment. I send much sympathy to his family on his passing. He was a great, and kind man. E Anne Burke

I am just seeing this. Dr Smith was the pediatrician for my two children after we moved to Kansas City in 1974. He was so understanding and caring to this young mother and I cherish his memory.

Condolences to Dr. Smith´s family. He was my four children´s pediatrician and loved him! I hated when he retired and could not see my last child through his college days. As a nurse, I would see him at Advent Health and we would discuss the "olden days". He was surprised I remembered him! He taught me one very important thing I pass on to young mother´s today, "A mother´s intuition is usually 99% correct. Nobody knows your child better!"

Elbo and I started Kindergarten at Westwood View and became fast friends from then on through our lives. He was the first boy I ever kissed, and that was in the 4th grade. I well remember our riding one sled down the Green Parrott hill (now the Pem Hill soccer field). We would go one on top of the other as fast as we could and shoot across State Line. There wasn't mush traffic in those days. Later he was my husband's fraternity brother, and later yet, he was our trusted pediatrician and...

Elbert was my friend and medical school classmate. He was a great guy and I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

So sorry for your loss. What a wonderful man with great stories! He will be missed. Detta Flowers.

Dr. Smith (Elbert) was our three children´s pediatrician for many years. He vaccinated them, stitched them up, took an alpha-bet cereal piece out of one their nostrils and counseled me with sage advice to be a better, calmer Mom. He made the world a better place. I´m sorry for his family and our community´s loss.

Dr. Smith was a life saver for our family. I came to him as a desperate mother of a two year old and he took care of both of my children their entire lives, even treating my daughter through college. The difference between Dr. Smith and other pediatricians of the 70's, 80's and 90's was that he treated the parents like they knew what they were talking about and always with respect. My son was diagnosed with ADD, when there was only one treatment, and strabismus, when was not quite 2, when...
