My Dad (Jack Jones - the Palms) was so sad to hear that Mr. Derrick had passed away. He has missed him so much since he left the Palms. We all enjoyed his stories and his great sense of humor.

My deepest condolences to the family. Mr. Derrick as I referred to him was a great friend and neighbor , I loved to hear his stories of war, his love of riding his motorcycle to Myrtle Beach from Conway , and the history of the neighborhood and of Charleston. I will miss him deeply .

Carolyn, Sam, Terry, and Bill.... I was sorry to hear that Uncle Lamar had passed away. I have such fond memories of him and Aunt Frances. May they rest in peace, together for eternity.
With love, Karen
