I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of my most esteemed Professor of Spanish at American University. Mrs. Phillips taught my second full year of Spanish at AU in 1978/79. My first year had been tough, and I didn't think I would ever embrace the language. But Mrs. Phillips thought otherwise!
