Not sure what to say?

I served with Major Ideus (at Ft Benning Ga )..498th Med Co (Air Ambulance)....I knew then what a leader he was...Going on to retire as a Colonel...As the units Chief Company Clerk i had many interactions with the Major...our Executive Officer....I saw and spoke with him daily......condolences to his family and his wife...61 years was....just not enough....

My former CO (326 Med Bn.) at Fort Campbell KY. A well respected officer and a gentleman. He signed waivers for me for time-in-service and time-in-grade thereby promoting me to Sergeant. I was a 76C at the time and the Army was short on E-5's in that MOS. I had proved myself by helping the battalion in that regard after an IG inspection. My condolences to his family as I just came across this news and was saddened by it.
