Read MoreEldon was my father's good friend. He tells wonderful stories of Eldon's kindness. Dad first met him long before moving to St. George when he did a repair on a trailer hitch. Dad asked how much, and Eldon said "Have a good day." Dad will miss the bread, and sitting next to him at church, but it was the friendship that meant the most.

I was sorry to hear of Eldon's passing. His legacy of service is a model for all of us and future generations. Rotary owes him a debt of gratitude for for his service. It is my prayer that his friends and family are blessed with the peace of God that surpasses all understanding during this transitional time.

McArthur Family, may I express my condolences with the passing of Eldon. What a noble man; a shinning example of the Rotary motto of "Service above Self!" As a young Rotary President in Heber City I found Eldon to be an enthusiastic tutor and friend; it was an honor to associate with him.
