I served with ETC Sedlacek in Special Boat Unit 12 in 1979-1982. He was the BEST CPO I have ever served under. I retired in 1999 as a ENC, basically because of how he trained and treated me. He was a great CPO in the naval service. I have pictures I took while with ETC Sedlacek while serving with him in 1980. I his family would like them please feel free to contact me via E mail and I will forward them to you.

Dear Eldon,
We hadn't spent much time together since you graduated from good 'ole Waterville High and left to sail the high seas. Our friendship bonds were made growing up on the same block in our small rural town of 600 people. Memories are sweet and memories are strong. We did a LOT of things over that 16 - 18 yr. period that bonded us forever. I enjoyed going to the airport and getting you on visits back to KS. Our sorties or jaunts up to the Wymore area to see relation usually ended up...

Fran, we haven't met, but I know of you because he spoke fondly of you and the "grand critters". I worked with Frank at UCSD when he had a part-time job in OLR. We stayed in touch after he left and shared many of funny emails. Although we did not see eye-to-eye on politics, we still remained buddies. He was always friendly to me and I'll miss his jokes.

Fran so sorry to hear about Frank. We had some great times running races and the after races BBQ's. You are both in our prayers and thoughts.

I had never met or knew Frank before we made contact on the internet, but we had a lot in common. We were both retired NAVY, both Electronics Technicians and we both served on Oceanographic Survey ships. Frank served on the USNS Michelson, TAGS-23, and I served on the USNS Dutton, TAGS-22. My heart felt condolences go out to the family of my shipmate, who has received his final assignment and is presently on his voyage to the better place. Fair winds with following seas, mate, and I look...

I'm so sorry to know Frank passed away. I worked with him at AESD in the mid 70's and then again with him and his sweet wife Fran at the Amphib base. Fran, I hope you remember me, we worked in the same building. I worked with the Civilian Personnel Office with Phyllis Allison. I pray that you are doing ok, you had a wonderful husband that loved you very much. Love, Lana
