Not sure what to say?

Mrs Lloyd & Theresa,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. My husband & I were very fortunate to be taught World Georgraphy by Mr. Lloyd. He was a very interesting man. I graduated in 1970 with Theresa and became Postmaster in Danbury in 1973. I could not believe he started running at the age of 60. I would pass him running on highway 8 & 89 on my way to work or during lunch. He was an amazing person. He will be truely missed by all.

Mrs. Lloyd,
Of all the teachers I have experienced over the years, most assuredly you and your husband were the very best. I have many fond memories of Mr. Lloyd's classes and that sparkle in his eye when he was making point that we finally understood! South Stokes was certainly fortunate to have him on its faculty. I send my sincere sympathy and gratitude for his positive impact on my high school years.

Mrs Lloyd, I was a student of Mr. Lloyd at South Stokes. Later when
I used to walk on Lakeside both of you became dear friends to me. Also
your golden retriver at that time was
Molly. I came to love you very much
and I am sorry for your grief. Jock
beat us all in the race to a better place. May God bless you.

Mrs. Lloyd and Theresa:

Having had the singular pleasure of sharing a teacher workroom with "Mr. Lloyd" for my one and only year as a teacher at S. Stokes HS, I can say I truly enjoyed and reveled in his wonderful way with words. He made a memorable toast when he heard of my engagement, alluding to my "casting my canoe onto the waters of holy matrimony". I've never forgotten him (nor have I forgotten that he forbade me to clean our coffemaker the entire year.)

You are both...

Mrs. Lloyd, I remember you and Mr. Lloyd very fondly from years, years past. Mr Lloyd was my 7th grade teacher at Sparta, North Carolina for the school year 1953-1954. I am sorry for your loss and extend my condolences.

I'll never think about Uncle Jock without remembering the Trolls under the bridge and Billy Goat Gruff. I guess they've finally "Tied the Kangaroo Down," but there will be no "tanning the hide, Clyde." Rest well until we meet again.

With love,

Eddy

Mrs. Lloyd and Theresa

I have some fond memories of Mr. Lloyd. I'll never forget when he helped me to finish a woodworking project that I was perfectly willing to forget! That was the summer before I went to college in 1968.
I hope to see you both tonight in Walnut Cove.
