Not sure what to say?

I have so many fond memories of growing up with "Butch" in Houma. Our parents were such good friends and seems like we were always together with our families. I am so sadded to hear of his passing, he was such a wonderful person and even though it has been years since I have seen him, I still have such sadness in my heart knowing his is gone. My thoughts go out to your family during this difficult time. Butch was my childhood friend and I always will think of him with love in my heart.

Dear Kathy and Family, Please know how sorry we are to hear about John. He was such a kind, gentle hearted man and God really must have needed another smart, funny, gentle soul for an Angle. He certainly earned his wings. We love and miss you all and hope that you'll still correspond with us each Christmas. Take Care and God Bless You and Your Family. Love Always, Julia Schaefer-Duchess/Louisiana 2000 & Husband Tom Rosenbloom

Dr. Turner was one of the first Professors I had at Centenary. I learned a great deal from him as a teacher and friend. He was never one to mince words or lead you in any direction but the right one. I can truly say that he pretty much had a great hand in molding my career choice and how to stand firm when things went awry. He was a great man and will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to his family, be strong and lean on God.

Kathy,

Scott and I were so sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Beth and Scott Vetter

I have great memories of my friend John from our college (and fraternity) years, and am glad that he was able to devote so many years after that to educate students and influence future teachers. His smartest move, of course, was marrying that young daughter of my minister from Rayne Memorial, together tackling the world and leaving it better off through his profession and family. My prayers and best wishes to Kathy, the family, and his many friends, colleagues and students.

I'm so sorry for your loss. John was especially helpful to me during chemotherapy. I appreciate all the time he gave me to help me through this journey of my life. John was loved by all. Betty & Bob Sorrels

Dear Turner Family,
I was blessed to have Dr. Turner as my Education professor and mentor at Centenary. In addition to being a fabulous teacher, he was a professor who went to bat for the students in his department. Dr. Turner demonstrated that being a true educator isn't just instruction in the classroom. It also involves professional support for your students' futures and best interests.

Kathy, I sent out a email to the class letting them know of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. If I can be of any service please let me know

The entire Centenary family joins Dr. Turner's family in mourning. We celebrate his many wonderful contributions and will keep his loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
