Eleanor Bohmermann "Elly" Bartasek

Eleanor "Elly" Bohmermann Bartasek CHARLESTON, SC - Eleanor "Elly" Bohmermann Bartasek, 94, of Charleston, the widow of Henry G. Bartasek and Otto Y. Bartasek, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 26, 2010. She was born in Bremen, Germany, the daughter of Heinrich Bohmermann and Meta W. Paschke Bohmermann on Tuesday, February 8, 1916. Mrs. Bartasek was a graduate of Davenport High School in Davenport, IA. She was a retired Operator with the New York Telephone Company, a member of the Church of the Nativity, a singer with the Sweet Adeline's and enjoyed playing the organ. Mrs. Bartasek is survived by her three children, Frederick O. Bartasek and his wife Stephanie of SC, George H. Bartasek of TX, Carole C. Bartasek of TX; a step-son, Steven Bartasek of FL; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Marilyn Bartasek. The relatives and friends of Eleanor B. Bartasek are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 4:00 PM, Thursday, October 28, 2010, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Charleston. The family will receive friends following the Funeral until 8:00 PM.
