Sister Carr was my advisor and one of my favorite teachers. She always had time for her students and transmitted her love of art. I have very fond memories of her clases and when I see one of the paintings we studied with her, it brings me a big smile.

Mother Carr's Modern Art class was a favorite. To this day I light up when I see Impressionist paintings. God bless her.

As my teacher at Manhattanville College, she taught me the fundamentals for everything I do in art today.

Sr. Carr instilled a passion for art history in me and in so many Manhattanville students. I can never look at a Hudson River School artist's work without remembering a field trip she organized to Frederic Church's beautiful Gothic Revival house, Olana. The sun shone, the house glowed, the river glittered. She brought beauty and kindness wherever she went. I'll keep her and her family in my prayers.
