Eleanor P. Craig

Eleanor was such a dear friend. She was a brilliant woman and had such an interesting life that she shared of her travels, ancestors, and teaching. The programs she prepared and shared were outstanding. She volunteered at the Venice Library in the Genealogy Section for many years and enjoyed helping others with their research. I called her on her birthday. She reminded me of her poor hearing and eye sight,and said she had lived long enough. She was ready to "go". I do feel...

Eleanor was a wonderful lady who I first met working for Right at Home five years ago. Although I no longer work for Right at Home, I had the opportunity to continue to visit with Eleanor over the years and our friendship grew. She was quite an amazing women and accomplished much in her 100 years. I am sure she is dancing in heaven with new ears that can hear all the choirs of angels and new eyes to see all the beauty of her new home.

Eleanor was a friend. She was one of the first to welcome me, when I joined DAC, Venice on the Gulf chapter. I would look forward to seeing her at each monthly meeting, always with a smile and a hello. We have lost a great lady.Our socities will not be the same without her. She did look forward to our luncheons at Horse and Chase in Venice each month. We will not forget our friend.

Eleanor was a most knowledgable genealogist and unstinting in her cooperation in helping to find entries, and lend her own materials for perusal, particularly in Connecticut for those who were there in New Milford in its founding and early days. She was a member of numerous lineage societies not mentioned in her obituary but will be sadly missed by those who knew her there. It would have been a pleasure to have been her student in her early career.
