Not sure what to say?

To Jerry, Eddie. Greg and Leslie and all grandchildren,
You were the center of Eleanor's life. I enjoyed her friendship for so many years. The happy memories will last forever. I will miss her hearty laugh, true caring and the sharing of many good books and ideas. My love is sent to all at this difficult and sad time.

Sandra Lee

Our friendship goes back aboutt 58 years, to our days as boarders at St. Stephen's School in Austin. Eleanor was pretty and popular and fun and kind. I would have been madly jealous, but she patiently taught me the Twist, for which I forgave her all her virtues. Each time I saw her in the intervening years, it was as though we had parted only yesterday. A little bit of light has gone out of the world. I join countless others in missing her.

I wish to share my sense of loss with you, Eleanor's close and extended family and friends. She and I have had a special friendship that began in high school and has persisted through the decades since, mostly at a distance but never at risk of fading. What I have now lost is the possibility that we will meet again in person at our 55th high school reunion in October. What I still have is the enduring connection we shared and the comfort of the poet Kahlil Gibran who suggests to us: "When...

Greg,

We were so sorry to learn of your mother's passing. While reading about her remarkable life by giving so much of her talents of teaching and counseling, it saddens us even more to know we were not blessed to have known her.
Greg, may God wrap His loving arms around you and your family during the days ahead and offer comfort and that inward peace that only He can give.
We are hopeful the thoughts of the illness she endured will in time be replaced with fond and...

Jerry, as my parents, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Jand and Eddie our prayers and thoughts are with you and the family. It is a difficult time filling the "hole" in your heart when someone you love dies. Our one consolation is that she is at peace and free from suffering. God bless all of you at this time.

I want you all to know that I am thinking of you at this difficult time. Eleanor was so much fun! She was always positive and caring. I can only imagine how much you will all miss her. I am at a symposium in Rhode Island and will not be able to attend the services, but my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Sincerely Mary Elizabeth Kimbrough

Eleanor was a woman of grace, beauty, wit, dignity, and I shall never think of her without smiling warmly. She was a woman whose company was always enjoyable. She was so many things to all of us. My sympathy to her family and to all of us who will miss her, but remember her lovingly.

Eleanor was a non-stop joy, totally giving; We feel privileged to have known her, and feel a loss knowing that she is still not here. Dillon and Virginia March
