Not sure what to say?

I remember Sister Eleanor fondly from our days in Paris, and the many events and projects we shared after that. I continue to remember her and all her family, especially her sister Mary, in my prayers. I am inspired by her generous and gentle spirit.

To Sister Eleanor Dooley's family and members of the Sisters of St. Joseph's Community:

My deepest love and respect to a wonderful person and teacher. I send my deepest sympathy to all. I remember Sister Eleanor Dooley while she taught her religious classes I signed up for during my years at Elms College and other studies. To me, Sister Eleanor was always a happy person I enjoyed talking with. When ever you needed help in her classes, she was there to help you at any time as...

Sr Eleanor was always non-assuming and full of positive energy. She touched everyone around her with her humility and kindness. She would stop to catch up with her students anywhere, in the library or in the hallway..

Sr Eleanor had a big heart! When she taught world religions, students of various religious backgrounds learned from her and each other.

Sister Eleanor was one of the kindest people I have ever met. She was my World Religion teacher and we had a lot of meaningful discussions both in and outside the classroom. She was a scholar, a teacher and a friend. I will never forget that she drove me to Boston and let me stay overnight in her family’s house for my first job interview. I am grateful for the privilege to be her student, and will always hold special memories in my heart.

In the summer of 2014, with the help of Ms Hampton, our whole family travelled from Virginia to meet Sr Eleanor and Sr Daly at Elms College! It was a wonderful reunion for me...

I took Sr Eleanor's World Religion class in 1990 and loved it!

So sorry we have lost Sister. I will always remember the exciting semester in 1968 after she and her sister Mary returned from the Sorbonne to teach our French class at the Elms. I marveled at her brilliance. Her classes were filled with stories of her Paris days. It was a great privilege to be her student. What a life well lived! RIP Sister. You were an inspiration to all.
