Eleanor was my beloved Mother-in-Law, and she embraced me with love from the first day we met in 1971. We shared a great love of "the old songs" of the '30's and '40's, and when I learned she adored Bing Crosby and Al Jolson, we laughed together singing "Mammy", "Sonny Boy", and "Rock a Bye Your Baby with a Dixie Melody". As a child, I cherished the moments I spent with my Grandmother listening to her Al Jolson records and Eleanor helped rekindle those happy childhood memories. When Eleanor...

When I think of Eleanor, I think of her gentle nature, and her kindness. She always looked out for other people, and I always appreciated that she would stop to see me when she visited Florida.

SMYPATHY TO THE FAMILY OF AUNT ELEANOR,SHE WAS A GREAT LADY ALWAYS VERY GIVING.I AM HER NIECE DEBORAH WHITNEY NOW LIVING IN SEMINOLE FLA. I GREW YP ALWAYS VISITING AUNT ELEANOR.AND MY GRANDMOTHER DOROTHY WHICH WAS HER SISTER.INSTEAD OF GOING OUTSIDE TO PLAY I WOULD SIT AND TALK WITH THEM BECAUSE I LOVED THEM BOTH SO MUCH.PEACE TO ALL OF THE FAMILY.LOVE DEBORAH

Eleanor was a loving and generous person from a long family line of people bred to persevere and endure. Eleanor, and later Lewis, added safety and security to my childhood.

My condolences to the family and especially to Uncle Lewis who I have never met. God Bless you and give you all peace.
