Eleanor M. Harrington

Eleanor was my beloved Mother-in-Law, and she embraced me with love from the first day we met in 1971. We shared a great love of "the old songs" of the '30's and '40's, and when I learned she adored Bing Crosby and Al Jolson, we laughed together singing "Mammy", "Sonny Boy", and "Rock a Bye Your Baby with a Dixie Melody". When I think of Eleanor, I think of her gentle nature, and her kindness. She always looked out for other people, and I always appreciated that she would stop to see me when she visited Florida.

Eleanor was a loving and generous person from a long family line of people bred to persevere and endure. Eleanor, and later Lewis, added safety and security to my childhood.
