Not sure what to say?

Our sincerest condelences and prayers to the entire Hartnett family. Eleanor was a courageous woman, and a pillar of strength to Bernie and her entire family. I am most grateful for her support of our cancer programs, and her charity and concern for others. Cynthia and I were traveling in China when we learned of this loss, and regret we could not join with the family at this time of bereavement.

Bernie, MaryEllen, Erin and Edward and Family:

I was so saddened to hear about Eleanor's passing. We have had the pleasure of knowing Eleanor and Bernie (Bernerd, as Eleanor used to call him)since 1993. I know how much she loved her husband and her family. I especially loved Bernie's County Exec campaign where Eleanor and I laughed all night. I loved that she was never afraid to speak her mind. I lost my mom a year and a half ago right after their 60th Annieversary as well. ...

To the Hartnett family,

It was a pleasure to have known Mrs. Hartnett. May all God's blessings descend upon each of you during this time of sorrow.

We so enjoyed meeting Mrs. Hartnett at John's UVM graduation. Her wonderful personality shone through so strongly in our brief acquaintance that we can only imagine how deeply loved and missed she will be by all those who knew her well. We are truly sorry for your family's loss and wish you comfort and peace in the days ahead.
