October 10, 2012 Prayer for Eleanor E. Heffner from Tony B. Toscino AHS 1955

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on...

I remember Eleanor well. We had a number of classes together. She was one of the most unassuming members of our AHS class of 1955

I have many fond memories of Eleanor when we were little children & playing Monopoly on the front porch. Then of eating ice cream at Stewarts. Her kindness & gentleness will always be remembered. Your journey to Heaven is completed. You will be missed by Aggie & Judi , Jess. Peace be with you til we meet again. Barbara

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh, but Jesus'love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with...
