Eleanor Susan Hilden age 87, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 in Opelika, Alabama. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Wood officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Visitation 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Eleanor was born in Rosebush, Michigan on October 31, 1925, the daughter of Bessie May (Parcher) and John Martin Neff and was a resident of Flint. On October 9, 1965 she married Donald C. Hilden in Flint. She was a member of the American Legion and was a Board of Election Worker. Mrs. Hilden was a cosmetician at Maas Brothers and a homemaker. Surviving are children, Roger A. (Brenda) Hilden, Charlotte J. Heidepriem and Elizabeth A. Connor; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchilden; many nieces and nephews; sister, Verzella Larrance; brother, Clinton Neff. She was preceded in death by husband, Donald C. Hilden; parents; step-son, Christopher A. Hilden; brothers and sisters, Homer Neff, Thomas Neff, Cecelia Neff, Leona Hackett, Louise Kelley, Gertrude Neff, Frederic Neff, Henry Neff and Josephine Himbaugh.
