Not sure what to say?

I was employed in the kitchen of St. Lawrence University, Canton New York, at the time Eleanor was attending Saint Lawrence University. I would see her often come through the cafeteria, she was friendly, pretty, and had a lovely smile! Her apartment was right over mine. I vividly remember my five year old son by the open window and he was chatting with Eleanor.

I remember Eleanor from the horse farm in Potomac, MD on Stoney Creek Rd. where I lived, and where her family kept their horse. She had a true lust for life! Such a lovely "Wild Child!" It's hard to lose her so soon.

I don't know what to say... I was just mentioning Eleanor while remembering some fun times in the late "70's" in my small home town in Northern N.Y. She was so full of life and left a mark on me! It's nice to know she continued to leave such a wonderfull impression on others through out her path in life. "Short but Shinning!" Sincerley, Teresa

Eleanor fought hard against cancer a terrible disease. My condolences go out to her family and friends. Her death on my 63 birthday makes me realize how everyday of life is a blessing. It is so sad to say goodbye to Eleanor a wonderful woman, she was loved by many people..

To the Mondale and Poling Family and Friends,

How this must be a very difficult time for you. But, we have peace in knowing that your loved one, Eleanor, is suffering no more. May God Bless and keep you in the days ahead.

Dear Fritz and Joan and the Mondale/Poling families:

Our sympathy to you on the passing of Eleanor. She was always so much fun and "out there". She obviously gave a lot to people she didn't even realize.

It is sooooo difficult to say goodbye to a dear loved one. Her suffering is over, but she is still with us in so many ways.

Peace to you all as you remember all the fun and touching times.

Sincerely,
The family of the late George M. Scott...

My most sincere condolences to the Mondale and Poling families. I wish I could have been at the memorial service. The family photo in the Star Tribune on September 18 is just how I remember Eleanor (and Teddy and William) from those days years ago when the Monday family lived two doors down and I was one of their babysitters

Dear Walter:

Your son said that you are reading through all of these messages about Eleanor! I can just imagine how proud of your beautiful daughter you are and always will be!

I remember how she supported you during your political years and how very proud she was of you and to be your daughter was just frosting on the cake!

I know your heart is breaking but hold on to all the incredible memories that you have and remember, someday we will all be reunited...
