Not sure what to say?

My father recently passed away, and I inherited a lovely piece of Eleanor's that was gifted to him by AT&T on the occasion of his retirement from their San Francisco office. Coincidentally, our family is from New Mexico. It's an absolutely beautiful work, and I appreciate learning more about the artist's life. My sincerest condolences to the family.

I was shopping at a fund raising sale for the Oakland Museum today. A warehouse full of donated treasures of all kinds and in the fine art section I came across a beguiling little print of a flying elephant. I was smitten and felt so lucky to purchase it. As an artist myself, it sang to me and I had to research more about the artist that created it. I find myself here on Eleanor's memorial page. I would like to send my kind condolences to all who loved her and to let you know that she lives...

I have carried this print with me over the miles , countries in Europe and my temporary homes in New York City and it is still with me. Thank you for the life you...

I met and photographed Eleanor Rappe when I worked with publicist Joanna Dymond doing and article on San Francisco Women artists. Eleanor was a vivacious creative person, very inspiring to be around.

I read this with great interest and with reverence for all the ideas described surrounding her life.

I knew Eleanor to be a caring mom and artist, who encouraged art, music, and play with her three kids. We played in their home to our hearts content and danced around to music. Over the ensuing decades, Eleanor occasionally ran into my mom and always spoke well of her children, particularly her daughter Audrey, whom she loved dearly and appreciated...
