I know this wonderful woman Eleanor, whom I never had the pleasure of meeting in person, has touched many lives. I am one of them. Upon meeting her son Howard, I came to find a new neighbor with the heart of a saint. The type of people Howard and Peggy are as neighbors say volumes about the way they were raised. Thank you Mrs Rood for your life and values, they are shining brightly here in our little neighborhood just outside Austin Texas! May you rest in joyous and everlasting Peace....

I'm in Ohio with Janell and her family, but check Erie news via internet.

I was so very sad to see that Mrs. Rood had passed away. I know how much she will be missed. I remember this very sweet lady from when we attended Weis Library church.

How wonderful it will be when everyone is re-united in heaven!

Grandma Rood's letter and pictures helped us stay connected to our PA family. She always made sure to write how many grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids she had. Her letters were always full of what she had planted in her garden or what she had harvested from her garden! We take comfort in the fact that she was strong in her faith and that she is now with our Heavenly Lord and Savior. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Gerry,so sorry for your loss.Your mom was such a sweet lady.I remember when i first met her at work when she came to help plant flowers in our garden in the courtyard.Then she helped my daughter with her school project which she got an A on!I can see from reading all the entries in this guest book that she touched many lives.Be glad you could be there for her at the end.(and you know she loved you)
