Not sure what to say?

Eleanor's family,
I was so sorry to hear about your mom's stroke and passing. Floyd and Diane shared with me that she was in the hospital. I asked for prayers for her at my church. I'm sorry we weren't able to make it to calling hours or the funeral. The one thing I remember about your mom is she knew how to have a good time. Dale & I were so happy when she attended our 25th anniversary party a few years ago. She shared stories about her and my mom in their younger days. I think they...

Dear Sally and family, I was so sorry to hear about your mother. My sister saw her passing in the paper and emailed me. I have such good memories of growing up at your house and enjoyed many wonderful family dinners with you all. She was a wonderful woman and always had a smile. She was so funny. I'll never forget how she welcomed the friends of all her children as her own.
Take care.

Dear Sandy, Ron and Dave:

You all have my deepest sympathies on the the passing of your mother. I went through this many years ago, so I do understand. I had planned to stop at the calling hours last night, but I had to take my sister to the hospital. I sure would have enjoyed catching up with all of you, but I sure don't like the circumstances. Sandy and Ron, it's been a long time since you were at the Class of "62 reunion--I hope you can make it to the 45th. And, Dave, one of...

My sympathy to you all. Eleanor was my second mom. She was always there for me as she was for all her children. She loved you all so very much and loved to tell me what you were all up to. She was a great neighbor and friend. May God be with you all in the days ahead. Love you all, Donna

Eleanor was my Great Aunt through her husbands sister Emily (my grandmother), and while we hadn't been aquainted for several years my memories are that she was a loving family member to all and always very kind and sensitive to me.
I know she will be missed.

Dear Sally and family;
I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Eleanor was a fun-loving and kind lady; I cannot picture her without a smile! I know you'll miss her so much and I hope your happy memories will comfort you.

Sincerely,
Nancy Seydell
