Not sure what to say?

I read with sorrow the passing of dear Ellie. She was my mother's best friend and confidant. When I think of one the other comes to mind. I will remember her with love and admiration.

Ellie and Bob were good friends and neighbors to our small family in Point Loma. We enjoyed visits to their home and desert outings. Ellie was a gracious hostess when Bob founded the G A Retirees Association and had many Board meetings at their house.
We missed her when she moved to Portland and still think of her when we drive by her old house.

For the Ellis family kids growing up around the corner, Ellie was a funny and loving mom. Like her husband Bob, Ellie always treated us like we were important and valued. We will remember her with great fondness and affection. Although we haven't been face-to-face with her for many years, she has always been one of our most favorite people. Ellie was a dear and valued friend. I've missed her ever since she moved from San Diego and will miss her even more now.

Ellie was a dear friend of my mother's (Lorrie Eby). They enjoyed many activities, including the high sierra hike in Yosemite (see photo). Ellie and Bob also joined us rafting on the Rogue River. Here's to the memories she created!

I have very fond memories of Ellie!

Aunt Ellie,
Thank you for being a surrogate mother and friend when I lived in San Diego. Thank you for the humor and love. I remember you, Dad and I giggling over something. I remember trips to Tijuana and "Nastie's" and so many things. I will miss you.
Love, Allie

Ellie Simon, thank you for the desert. Thank you for being a warm, generous, intelligent and guiding force in my life. I carry you in my heart.xxxx Paula
