Eleanor G. (Adams) Suter, 98, of Ruffs Dale, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, in Walden's View Nursing Center, North Huntingdon Township. She was born on April 23, 1927, at Alverton in East Huntingdon Township, a daughter of the late Welty M. and Ruth (Roadman) Adams, who passed away on April 27, 1988, and Jan. 31, 1999, respectively. Eleanor married Donald C. Suter on Sept. 23, 1949, and he passed away on Aug. 28, 2007. Eleanor was a devoted homemaker, farmer's wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She graduated from East Huntingdon High School, Class of 1945, and was a longtime and faithful member of the Grandview Church of God near Smithton. Eleanor enjoyed quilting, embroidery, and pottery. Eleanor will be sadly missed by her loving family: her three sons, Charles "Chuck" Suter and his wife, Sharon of Ruffs Dale, Wayne Suter and his wife, Jennifer of Ruffs Dale, and Thomas Suter and his wife, Suzie, with whom Eleanor resided in Ruffs Dale; her six grandchildren, Monica Butler (Harry), Tracy Tranchine (Shawn), Ryan Suter (Kelsey), Olivia Suter, Wayne Suter Jr., and Ashley Tressler (Aaron); her great-grandchild, Laikyn Barclay; and several nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Lynn Browning, on May 19, 2016; and her brother, James W. Adams, on Aug. 15, 2011. Family and friends will be received from 12 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, in the funeral home chapel, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, with Pastor Jason Kramer officiating.
