WILSON, Eleanor Ruth - Of Flint, age 96, died Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Willowbrook Manor. Funeral service will be held 11AM Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Reverend Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial in Flushing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice. Visitation 5PM-8PM Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the funeral home and 10AM Thursday, November 6, 2008 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Ruth was born in Byron on July 21, 1912.She married Thomas Paul Wilson on June 13, 1930 in Ohio. Ruth enjoyed working with floral arrangements, was a champion shopper and enjoyed fishing. Surviving is son, Tom of Florida; grandson, Eric; special niece and caregiver, Betty and husband Jim Herington of Davison; sister, Mable Stone of Jackson; nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
