Dear Emma Jean and Donald,

It is with sadness that I just learned of your mother's passing. I have fond memories of Christmas mornings when daddy, Tommy and I would visit with you. Your mom always made it a happy time for us. She was such a special person and always kind and generous to Tommy and me. My mother and father were so fond of her. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you and your father.

I was saddened to read of Eleanor's passing in the newspaper. It marks the end of yet another generation gone. I have thought of all of you from time to time and hoped you were doing well. I fondly remember trips to Petersburg to see Eleanor, Gene and Irene. They were quite a lively bunch back then!
